It is annoyed when you find your clothes get mold & mildew. You find that they're spotting some new colors and an unpleasant odor to boot. Your pure white shirt or pretty skirt was ruined by this tinny mildew spot.

Mold and mildew creep in when moisture and darkness are available as these are prime living conditions for these invasive spores. Mold and mildew have also been known to lead to respiratory health conditions so removing it should be a priority. So, how to clean mold & mildew ?

If the Weather's On Your Side, in another word, it is sunny outside. My suggestion is washing and exposure it. But before it, you should care some below:

  1. Take the affected clothing outside and brush off loose mold and mildew spores with a soft-bristled brush.

  2. You should wash your clothing in different ways. Cotton and linen clothing , you'd better cover a plain white fabric when exposure it in the sun; leather clothes, chemical fibers , dip soapy water to clean, remove the dirt and mildew spot, then wash with clean water; mildew spot caused by grease ,perspiration , dip some gasoline ,wash them by soft brush , then naturally air-dry.

  3. You find your clothing with odors, slice a lemon in half and squeeze the juice all over the stained area to saturate it. Sprinkle salt liberally over the lemon juice. Brush away the salt and launder the garment as you usually would. Add a cup of white vinegar to the rinse cycle to help eliminate lingering odors.

  4. When washing white clothes, mix two tbsp of chlorine bleach into a quart of warm water, Sponge the solution onto the affected area and allow it to soak for 10 to 15 minutes. if your clothing is colored , add vinegar at the affected area .

But if the weather is wet outside, I think you need a dryer to dry your clothes.
